The iPhone has been given the honor of being the "invention of the year", as cited by Times magazine. It comes as no surprise to us either, given the iPhone's design, innovative touch screen system, and it's unlimited potential for the mobile devices of the future. Besides, with a successful marketing strategy that worked in tandem with what the iPhone promised to deliver, we feel this award is truly deserving for Apple's foray into the mobile phone market. informationweek.com - Time magazine has named Apple's iPhone "invention of the year," citing is design, innovative touch screen, and potential for changing the tech industry's approach to mobile computing. While bestowing the honor on the popular cellular phone/handheld computer, Time acknowledged the iPhone's flaws: the device's on-screen keyboard is too hard to type on, the gadget is too big for a mobile phone, there is no instant messaging, it doesn't work on most people's work e-mail, and it's locked to service provider AT&T.
